OMA Race Report

I wasn’t too sure what to expect when I was driving to TN for the OMA this weekend when I was crunching through snow and ice on the way there! It turned out to be a really nice day for racing though. It was around 40 plus degrees and a lot of the snow and ice around the track had melted. The track was located in the Coal Creek riding area where there are some really cool downhill mountain biking trails known as Windrock. There were a lot of fast roads with some elevation changes and really good singletrack connecting the two. The course was around five miles in length, which made it a little more fun to push for the fast lap time of the day. I managed to grab the holeshot award, fast lap, and the overall win for the day. It came with a KTM podium sweep as well with Dustin Gibson and Steven Squire rounding out the top three. I am looking forward to doing more OMA’s this year!
